Canon triumphed at this years EISA Awards, earning itself not one, but four awards.
The Canon EOS 80D has been named the ‘European DSLR Camera 2016-2017’, while the EF 35mm f/1.4 II USM and the imagePROGRAF PRO-1000 took the titles of the ‘European Professional DSLR Lens 2016-2017’ and ‘European Photo Printer 2016-2017’ – emphasising the outstanding, market-leading quality of Canon products in all aspects of the imaging sector.
However, the victorious product that caught our attention was the Canon EOS-1D X Mark II, rewarded with the title of ‘European Professional DSLR Camera 2016-2017’. As the fastest DSLR camera ever with the ability to take 14 images per second of moving subjects, the EOS-1D X Mark II is quite an improvement on the previous model, with increased image quality and improved autofocus. Additionally, the video function has become much more advanced, with 4K video recording and fast AF in live view mode. This, along with its rugged and endurable body makes for an all-round impressive camera, worthy of its EISA Award title.
Steve Marshall, Canon’s Product Marketing Director, Consumer Imaging Group said of the wins, “Each of the awards we have received demonstrate our dedication and commitment to creating pioneering products and once again, we’re extremely proud to have been recognised by the esteemed EISA panel.”
