ON/OFF Photo Book Launches for Warchild

For the last six years…

Rock/portrait photographer, Hungry Eye Contributing Editor and self confessed Raas Claat, Tom Oldham has been setting time aside time produce an impressive collection of photographs for the charity Warchild.

The ON/OFF project has seen Tom shooting some of the biggest and best names in music – including Muse, Arctic Monkeys, Elbow, Prodigy, Tinie Tempah, Plan B, Ed Sheeran, M.I.A., Rudimental, Primal Scream and more. The project has been shot at venues across the UK, curated by Ed Bartlett at The Future Tense. Now they are teaming up with Pledge Music to offer you the chance to pledge on ‘ON/OFF’, a 72 page hardback photo book documenting these unique insights into an artist’s most intimate moments around a performance. With shots of each artist/band before and after their show.

PLUS limited edition print offerings of each artist in different sized formats.

Each print can be viewed here: http://www.pledgemusic.com/projects/warchild/updates.

All money raised by ON/OFF and your pledges will support War Child and help respond to conflicts like those currently in Iraq, Syria and Gaza that are bringing unimaginable horrors to innocent children. With your support War Child can save lives, take children away from war, and bring emergency care, education and hope back into their young lives.

Your support of this brilliant ON/OFF project is not only an opportunity to own an incredible piece of unique music art – it is also a chance to help change the life of innocent children suffering the brutual effects of war. This what your help reaching our target could do. It can save lives.

100% of our target will mean we can manufacture and distribute the books and prints you have brilliantly pledged towards.
This target will also see a donation to War Child that could reintegrate a child who has been abducted from her family – providing support for the whole family to adjust to life together.

200% will see a further significant donation to War Child. Your generous pledges could provide support, counselling and education to 150 children fleeing the violence in Iraq, in a safe place where they can play and have fun with their friends.

300% could additionally get hundreds of children out of army uniforms and into school ones. Providing 1200 children with uniforms, stationery and school fees for a year; costs they would otherwise not be able to afford.

400% could provide, literacy, life skills and vocational training to 85 young women in Uganda who have missed out on these opportunities because of war enabling them to find formal employment or develop ideas for their own business.

500% could enable War Child to train and employ a team of six social workers who could provide vital psychological support and care in our safe haven for girls who are suffering from or at risk of abuse and sexual violence in Democratic Republic of Congo.
